First, there was 0. Then, there was 1. It all ballooned from there.

"What?! Another software review site? Bah, what does this offer me that other blogs of that ilk don't already?" You might ask.

First: lose the attitude, buddy.

Second: many computer users have come to me over the years asking for software to solve one of their problems. I've sampled my fair share of software over the years. I know what I need, what I like, and what works. Chances are, one of those will help you too.

Now that I think about it though, only rarely does somebody ask me explicitly for software to solve a problem. Usually, they come to me with a problem. I, being a programmer, usually find some way of solving that problem with software. (Never mind that the problems were usually caused by software in the first place though)

Sure, I've got nothing listed right now. But the best place to start is at 0.

If you can't wait though, there are some other great blogs to check out that I whole-heartedly recommend:
  • www.freewaremission.com - Who doesn't like free? freewaremission.com has a large list of free software, and the man running it, Johnny Karp, has a good writing style and thoroughly reviews software that he displays.
  • lifehacker.com - While they aren't primarily a software review site, they do it very well anyway. Currently the best site out there for all your blogged-software needs. Reviews, comparisons, how-tos, this place has it all.
